Dr. Dugan became
a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists
(ACVO) in 1990 and was an assistant professor of comparative
ophthalmology at the University of Illinois prior to his decision
to start a private practice in Denver and Colorado Springs (1992).
Dr. Dugan is currently
the Secretary/Treasurer of the ACVO and has lectured on equine
and companion animal ophthalmology at local, regional and international
meetings. He has contributed original research, peer-reviewed
journal articles and book chapters to the companion animal,
equine, and exotic ophthalmic literature. In addition to the ACVO,
Dr. Dugan is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association,
American Animal Hospital Association, American Society of Veterinary
Ophthalmology, International Society of Veterinary Ophthalmology,
Colorado Veterinary Medical Association, Denver Area Veterinary Medical
Society, and the Colorado Springs Area Veterinary Medical Society.
